November 1st Writing Challenge NaNoWriMo

So today is the first day of November and that means it’s NaNoWriMo!

I thought I would go ahead and use the blog in a way I hadn’t ever before; kind of diary-style writing about my day rather than informational or promotional.

My reasoning is two-fold.  I want to first try something different and as such, maybe help readers learn a little bit more about me on a personal level.

Additionally, I am participating in NaBloPoMo (National Blog Post Month)

It’s a funny spoof on NaNoWriMo, (National Novel Writing Month) of which I’m also participating!

For NaNoWriMo, writers work toward a word count goal in the month of November by writing each day.

I’ll also be blogging each day this month for NaBloPoMo; which should actually get interesting as we near Thanksgiving.

We’ll be at Walt Disney World, but I will work hard to fit in some blogging between Dole Whips and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party treats!

Here we are at the beginning of a brand new month, yesterday was Halloween.

My 6 year old was Darth Vader, but not just ANY Darth Vader!

Back in 2006, my oldest (now almost 20 years old) dressed as Darth Vader.  He wore the old school Darth Vader Voice Changing helmet (I’ve been trying to find a photo for weeks now, I may have to have him email his father for it)

Over the course of the years, and move from Boston to Charleston SC, we lost the helmet.

I found the exact same one on Ebay a few weeks ago, for little man to wear!

November is definitely a busy month for us.

I’m hoping to do something completely drastic (to me) with my hair either this week or next and we’ve got Ya’ll Fest coming up next weekend.

I may or may not be stalking Jason Segel while we’re there.

Thanksgiving is a few weeks away as is a new Disney-Pixar movie release.   Meet Hector from Coco.

Then we’ve got our family trip to Walt Disney World.

I’ll have some fun things to share like book hauls, photos from Ya’ll Fest, where I may or may not be stalking Jason Segel, and more Disney stuff!

Happy November!

Are you writing every day this month for either NaNoWriMo or NaBloPoMo?
